Chinese Walls over @ 52 rue Richelieu 75001 Paris and some other Swedish faggotry
Newsletters are the best. They keep popping up once in a while, much like a concerned mother checking up on her emo/goth youngsters to see if they are alive, plus most of the time they bring free stuff. Much like mums and chocolate chip cookies!
Labrador have been particularly busy promoting both "old-timers" like The Mary Onettes, The Legends & The Radio Dept or newcomers like Little Big Adventure aka Magnus Sätterström. This is a curious one that resonates of Owen Ashworth aka Casiotone For the Painfully Alone. Self made one man band, Magnus cashed in his saving to buy a Casio keyboard, which seems like a Swedish thing to do. Ever since he has been tinkering with it and managing an oh so familiar and lovely droning soft electronica about youth, school, love, hate and about doing all of the above while drunk. Again, another seemingly adequate and appropriate Swedish (or otherwise) rite of passage. If the dreamy sounds and provoking lyrics weren't enough to turn me into a groupie, the shameless appropriating of a classic pc game from the 90's which I loved and adore, sure did the trick. Yes, I am a whore for both gaming and droning electronica and for once have met in a veritable music geek heaven.

Maison Kitsuné, bless their tiny hipster Jean Paul Gautier influenced hearts, are promoting autoKratz's new single, Always More, for their upcoming album ANIMAL along with a remix of Swastika Eyes. Yes, it's the song from Primal Scream's XTRMNTR featuring Jagz Kooner. Great isn't? Wrong. Kitsuné decided to go all Nazi (pun REALLY intended) and is making the remix available here, but only if you give your name and email. No email? No tune. GTFO! Luckly, some sensible person already uploaded it into youtube. There is not stopping the interwebs, bitches! Except perhaps... humm... Piratebay. And Napster. Anyhoo, the new single from autoKratz is very meh, but the remix is quite lovely.
