Triangle Walks // Fever Ray (new vid + rmx)

Freshly released insight into the somber world of Karin Dreijer, Fever Ray's front woman and female half of The Knife. The nights in Sweden must be dark indeed. New video and a remix (which you can download free here) just below.

New music feat Ezra Koening of Vampire Weekend fame or "Should I have a wank?"

The interwebs are about to have a meltdown so make sure that you do that inane last tweet (check!) and backup all of your pron (check!). Oh well, at least all the trendy young hipsters that played last years summer hit over and over and over again will have said meltdown. Some Afropop aficionados as well. Not to mention everyone that googles about Ezra Koening being gay and lands on this blog due to this post. All in all, nothing of important shall be lost...

Anyhoo, fresh off Radioclit's twitter The Very Best (AKA Esau Mwamwaya & Radioclit) just made a track available that features Ezra Koenig from Vampire Weekend. To be honest, the other tracks on their myspace website sound a whole lot better, specially Wena. Also, having Ezra doing African influenced indie pop is just milking it, but that's just me. If you're into it, the album will be released on the 2nd of September. Bit too late to have the records spinning in your luaus, true, so you'll have to make do with this.

Because there is always somebody somewhere in need of a Sad Song...

If not life in geral, then just because tomorrow is Monday. Again. But look on the bright side, there is always the possibility of cookies at the end of the day. And phone calls. Ponies. Butterflies as well.

Truth be told, I just came a bit

From this weeks Domino newsletter:

Arctic Monkeys release their third album on Monday 24th August.
The as-yet-untitled album features 10 brand new Arctic Monkeys’ songs and was produced by Josh Homme in the Mojave Desert and Los Angeles and James Ford in Brooklyn.
The album will be available on CD, vinyl and via digital download.
Not that I'm the biggest Arctic Monkeys fan on the planet, but the fact that Josh Homme was thrown into the mix just increased my expectations n-fold!

PS: There are ZERO vids on the interwebs of QOTSA (odd) or Kyuss (expected)

Hi, this is a double post attack

Don't worry, I don't do walls of texts.

Matt & Kim's new vid for Lessons Learned from the album Grand reveals.... a wee bit more than perhaps it should. One wonders if that is the effect Times Square has on people...

The exquisitely awesome good people from YACHT, Jona Bechtolt and Claire Evans, are back! With free music! Double trouble, he? The first single Psychic City for their forthcoming album See Mistery Lights popped up on their website, along with a little background story on the track. Very nice read, with some minor slagging of Pitchfork Media which is always good fun, so be sure to check it out. Now, the question in almost everyone's mind is: Where the fuck are all cowbells that are the hallmark of DFA releases??? THERE AIN'T ANY SO GET USED TO IT! Rather refreshing, to be honest, seeing a DFA signup not becoming an extension of the James Murphy entity. Gawd knows that The Rapture have that part pegged down quite nicely.
